SIEM

A SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) is a type of security software that collects and analyzes various sorts of security data from diverse sources to create an overall picture of an organization's security posture. It usually includes a central console for managing and analyzing security data, as well as a set of tools for collecting, storing, and analyzing security-related data from various sources, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, security information and event management systems, and other security-related systems and devices.

A SIEM's primary purpose is to assist businesses in detecting, investigating, and responding to security risks and events in a fast and effective manner.
